What Is The Republican Alternative To ObamaCare

Private insurance offers the best for the lowest cost. The ACA is a disaster and bottom less pit for money with high deductibles and copays
So "no." Thank you.

This notion that government is, or should function as, an insurance company is poison.

The real issue is that there are winners and losers in legislation. There are millions of people for example who have done little in life and live very well. So, someone pays somewhere else. Sponsors of socialism must live it. And they do not.

lol ... socialism ....

The OP’s faux question (in the thread headline) presupposes that the Republicans need to offer an “alternative” to Obumblercare.

Ok. Here’s one: eliminate it.

The co pays and deductibles are lower you pay less. They dont go broke. You have more choices to by a plan that suits your needs
Obama care goes broke every year. Its one size fits no one. You have pay for benefits youll never use. You cant keep your Dr.

A little secret for you on those so called lower co pays and deductibles they come with a much higher premium and they also the 10 essential benefits that most you won't use. On the marketplace depending on what advanced tax credit your may receive you could be paying much less in co pays and deductibles.

This notion that government is, or should function as, an insurance company is poison.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance companies are private companies, but the ACA is a government law that regulates these private insurance plans and marketplaces. Individuals can purchase private health insurance plans through the government-run or state-run Health Insurance Marketplace, with the ACA providing subsidies to make them more affordable for eligible people.

For a household earning between 200% and 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) for 2025, the expected contribution to a benchmark plan is between 2% and 4% of their income. A specific example shows a household with an income of $35,000 (224% FPL) paying 3% of their income for a benchmark plan under the enhanced tax credit, KFF.

Thus , us government is not functioning as an insurance company ; us government is providing governance policies .

The us government does not own the means of production ; us government is providing grants to the private insurance companies , while premiums paid by insured are based on income relative with federal poverty line ( FPL ) .

Which is more expensive to government , along with which is more intelligent , block grants to hospitals for first come first served given urgency , or subsidies to private insurance that also receives premiums - not for free - from the vast number us workers who are now in and not out of network ?

Include that the incidence of bankruptcy is significant for individuals out of network which is without caps in costs of indemnity for treatment .

* Expensive Any Weigh It Is Sliced *

An insurance company collects premiums from the insured and also makes market investments to offset losses and increase earnings ; insurance of health care is not currently a lucrative allocation of resources by private sector investors which are more interested in maximizing short or long term gains .

The cost of healthcare treatments can be expensive : one could suppose an average estimate of individuals who do not consume medical services in an amount greater than premiums for a year ; and , a single medical event could represent amounts significantly greater than the sum of ones own premiums over years .

A very many small and intermediate businesses are unable to provide employees with affordable insurance ; and , unless required to cover safety requirements , plans , policies and premiums for employees may be untenable or declined .

And who is pushing it?

Does anyone really believe that the Republicans want to help Americans get good health insurance?
Almost 12 years after you started this thread, GOPs still have no plan other than gutting Medicaid.
