Zone1 What is Racism?

I do believe a concrete definition of racism is required here at USMB. This is because we have a segment of the membership here who have created a definition based on things thsat don't meet the standard. This section of the forum is titled race and racism, meaning issues about race and racism are the topics to be discussed. Yet if some members here present issues of race, they are personally attacked, their threads are hijacked and closed while other threads that are openly racist don't get touched.

Racism: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Notice what the definition does not say. It does not say that racism is the mere discussion of race. It does not say that racism is the mention of a persons skin color or race. It does not say that the mention of public plicy, laws or past racist actions by a specific group is racist. Only when such things are stated in a way that infers racial superiority to an ENTIRE RACE, not a subgroup within a race, are those things racist.

So, for example, a white member of the forum stating that blacks in Baltimore commit more violent crimes than blacks elsewhere is not a racist statement. But what happens here is that white members start talking about black crime as evidence t the entire black race is accused of being violent criminals. Never do we see a description of a particular portion of the black community. The same goes with welfare. Then we have the all blacks who vote democrat stuff, which implie that blacks are too stupid to think for ourselves, while white liberals are so much more intelligent based on them being white that we must rely on them for knowledge, that is racist.

Contrast this to pointing out white republican racism, which does not imply that the ENTIRE WHITE RACE is racist, and this is what gets called racism in this forum, primarily by white republicans who make the type of broadbrushing comments about blacks that I posted in the prior paragraph.

So my suggested solution is this, why don't we go by the Websters dictionary definition of racism to evalute what is racist and not the grievance industry defntion?
I love it.

This from a guy who calls people racist for merely disagreeing with him on minor points.

This from a guy who, despite not knowing me and never having interacted with me, accused me of concocting my personal story of black racism. The only logical conclusion as to the reason for his accusation is because I'm white.

This from a guy who, when asked why he thinks someone is racist, gives a vague response that means precisely nothing: "Because of things you say."

The hypocrisy is astounding.

Wow, they changed the definition to meet the narrative.

Racism is a fundamental belief held by a person that a race is superior or inferior solely based on skin color.

That IS the definition of racism.
I believe the Oriental race is superior to my race of white Gentiles in average qualities necessary to create and maintain successful societies and civilizations. Does that make me a racist? I do not care if it does.

Before you snicker at my error, JoeB131, I shall point out that I missed a word in my previous post, and I meant to write:

I have a low opinion of the Negro race and a high opinion of Negroes who behave and perform as well as most whites do. Negroes like that are credits to their race. Unfortunately, they are out numbered by Negroes who are criminals, welfare recipients, and/or academic failures.

You believe wrongly. It is not their race but their culture that derives their success as a society, but note that being Oriental is not enough because China can be considered Oriental, but their society sucks dirty Rams balls.

It always falls to culture, not race.

Culture comes from race. Societies of Jews and Orientals have low crime rates, even when those in the societies are poor. This cannot be said of societies of Negroes.

I'm not sure how it is you figure that.

Cultures are not immutable, but change usually comes slowly to any culture.

After the slaves were freed in America, the black population was on track to developing a very good culture apart from the hatred of the Deep South. They migrated north into the industrial United States and started developing a solid culture of family, work ethic, and civic pride. The only thing that they lacked was true equality.

The civil rights movement was instrumental in setting the blacks on that path to a better quality of life and equality. History shows that a lot of work needed to be done at that time, and since then, a significant amount of work has been accomplished in that department. Couple with the successful movement in our schools to teach children to end racism -- that belief that the blacks were inferior and the whites were superior -- began to bear fruit, and each subsequent graduating class became more and more accepting of our differences. Most of that changed with the introduction of Marxist Critical Theory in the Universities that has propagated out into our K-12 education system, but the overall factor of the decline of blacks in America was the erosion of the family.

What exactly began that decline in their family-oriented culture, I'm not sure. Was it Hip-hop, Rap, or the destruction of America's industrial base? I haven't found any credible research sources or studies to account for it.

In Asian cultures, they remain the same because they don't have a lot of foreign influences on their culture and today, Asians in America have held pretty tightly to their work ethic and education standards; whereas Americans, of all races, deny the discipline necessary to achieve success academically.

This is my take on things.

As long as Negroes tried to emulate whites there was some hope for them. The success of the Supremes' Song "Love Song," released as late as 1968, indicates that that late many blacks recognized illegitimacy as a social problem and a personal tragedy.

Similarly, the Teptations' song "Just My Imagination" was about unrequited love.

Unrequited love is not an emotion that comes naturally to Negroes, but when they know that whites sometimes feel that way they can learn to feel that way. Soul music was also about romantic love.

Rap music is not about the dangers of illegitimacy, unrequited love, and romantic love. It is about patterns of behavior that had survival behavior in the African jungle: violence, and raw animal lust. In Africa thee was no defense against African diseases. It was in the interest of African Negroes to have as many children as possible by as many people as possible.

As Negroes lose the desire to emulate whites they are reverting to the way they were before they were brought here as slaves and introduced to white civilization. We foolishly pay for the reversion by paying welfare checks to single mothers with illegitimate children.

The leftists get inflamed - and of course start screeching “raaaaacist!!” - if one suggests unsuccessful blacks emulate a higher-achieving group. I have suggested several times that the black underclass emulate Jews - another persecuted minority - since they have risen above bigotry and poverty to achieve above-average success levels.

The response is always the same - essentially, to say it’s not the fault of blacks who can’t become successful, but of whites who are racist, and lots of excuses as to how Jews got “white privilege.” This insistence and messaging to poor blacks that they have can have no effect on their own outcomes keeps them mired in anger, resentment, and of course dependent on Democrats’ handouts.

I find that to be a singlur misreading of history and to be honest, a pretty narrow-minded view of of a culture. You have to base your entire premise on a single influence, music, to make your point.

History shows us that the black culture and population had a horrible struggle out of slavery and their fight against prejudice would be decades long. A little research into the history reveals that:

The biggest driver of African Americans migrating into the industrial North of the United States after slavery was a combination of "push" and "pull" factors. The push factors were primarily related to the difficult conditions faced by African Americans in the South, including segregation, discrimination, and the oppressive Jim Crow laws that upheld racial segregation. These conditions made the South an inhospitable place for African Americans, leading them to seek better opportunities elsewhere.

The pull factors, on the other hand, were the attractive opportunities available in the industrial North. Northern cities were experiencing significant industrialization and economic growth, which created jobs in factories, steel mills, and other industries. This economic prosperity offered the promise of better wages and improved living conditions. Additionally, African American newspapers and word of mouth spread encouraging reports of these opportunities, further incentivizing migration to the North.

This period of mass migration, known as the Great Migration, spanned from 1910 to 1970 and resulted in millions of African Americans relocating from the South to the North in search of better economic and social prospects. The combination of these push and pull factors played a pivotal role in shaping the demographic and cultural landscape of the United States during this period. [1][2][3][4]

This resulted and provided proof that when faced with the prospects of standing on their own and proving themselves to be men (most don't realize that the root of racism is a belief not only in their inferiority of those they hate but that they are not really even human) that they fell into a normal human pattern that is determined by nature. We are a species that thrives best as a family unit, working together and caring for each other.

What needs to be identified is the cause of why the blacks in America abandoned the family in favor of their current cultural malfeasance.

It is not so much that they need to emulate white society as they need to return to the natural state of human existence.

The family unit and personal responsibility.

We are going to have to agree to disagree.

No that's not the definition. Again, you don't get to make up the definition. Websters has defined it, not thunk. Because me not liking whites because they are racist is not racism according to you, it's based on their poor behavior.
You always change the definition of racism and racist.

A lame social construct used for manipulation and control of blacks.

There are now two Black lesbians guarding the honor of a feeble old racist white politician man.

A Black Senator (former school principal) pranks a fire alarm to bail out a session of Congress.

Two Black state women are taking a prosecution fall on a former president.

The Secretary of Defense is black and the military is probably a shambles.

It seemed like the election riggers were Black!

And, there has to be more.

If race is a social construct - do you understand what that means for Black people?

Do you know what social constructs are?

Do you know how many social constructs there are?

Do you know which ones are essential for the proper guidance of people?

Powerful!

Let’s give some examples of statements, with NR meaning not racist and R meaning racist.

1) Blacks commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime: NR
2) Any black person wearing an expensive necklace must have stolen it: R

1) Blacks have a high out-of-wedlock rate, which correlates with poverty: NR
2) Blacks are too impulsive to use birth control: R

1) Obama was a destructive president: NR
2) No black is capable of the presidency: R

1) Tim Scott is an example of what blacks can achieve, despite impoverished beginnings and racism, if they are motivated and disciplined: NR
2) Tim Scott is an Uncle Tom: R
How does black IQ fall in that dynamic?

Would it be:

1) Blacks have a lower average IQ than whites, Hispanics and Asians. NR
2) No black can be as smart as an average white. R

That's proven wrong in this forum daily.

The average IQ in the USA is 98
