I have always wondered. I know the atheist explanation and it may be true in this case, but humans don't see the full spectrum. My cat sees things I don't see. What if some see a world we don't?

What we perceive as "reality" isn't 1/1,000,000th of all that is....In fact, it it more nothing than something.

We have an aura that some believe can be captured by Kirlian photography. God's aura is so powerful that it turns human's hair white. Christ's divine aura is enough to replace the sun.
When we accept Christ as our savior and God looks at us, He doesn't see a human drenched in sin. God forgave the sin and Christ removed it. God doesn't even remember them. God sees us wrapped in the Shekinah glory of His Son. We even smell like Christ to God.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life.

According to Jesus, children do have angels:
Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven".

Does the angel that watches over a child continue to watch over them as they become adults? One would assume they do.
David mentions our position as adults:
Psalms‬ ‭91:11‬ ‭For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.

And when you walk into church the next time, say, "Hi." to the angel assigned to it:
Rev 3:1 “To the angel of the church in...
Some think that the angels referenced in Rev. are the preachers of those 7 churches. It isn't clarified as such.
