What If It's Not Woke And Identity Politics That Sunk The Democrats?

Its a great neighborhood, it was the early eighties, things were pretty rough.
I hung out at the bottom line blue note,
Max's Kansas city.
Cbgb's the long horn,
Parsons school of design.
Parking was a real prob.

I had to time getting home when the New School let out.

A glove compartment full of tickets.

If the democrats fail to achieve what almost every party out of power does in the mid-terms, they're pathetic and TRUMP! is in charge for real. Better put on a helmet.
Since we are looking at Trump trying to fix states to give Republicans the majority, you can just stop trying to pretend that 2026 is going to be normal.

Different world now...

Pictures of Brooklyn's Marine Park show its large green spaces, including baseball fields, bike paths, and a 210-acre golf course, as well as its natural salt marsh and nature trails along Jamaica Bay. You can find various images online, such as aerial views showing the park's relationship with the surrounding neighborhood and detailed shots of the salt marsh, wildlife, and recreational activities.

Really?
New England has 30-40% Republican voters, but not a single representative due to Democrat gerrymandering.

Name the Democratic President who has called a governor in a New England state mid-decade to ask for them to redraw districts.

Obama gerrymandered
out of Chicago,
then at a funeral his called it racist As with jim crow.

U.S. tends to allow representatives to choose people instead of people choosing representatives,” Obama told The Hyde Park Herald in 2001. “It’s just politics.”

Then he & beau Biden
Joe Biden conspired
a hate crime against Larry Sinclair, subsequently murdered.

Lied about Osama bin Laden
Benghazi
and about who his father was....

But he gerrymandered...🙂

Why?

The Democrats there did it.

That's the point.

So why would you blame Republicans for doing the same?

Democrats have been doing that for decades now. 2026 will be normal and if the democrats do not pick up big margins in the House and Senate, they're in for a bumpy ride. Better put a helmet on.

The Democrats need prices to rise to blame Trump.

President of Walmart was on Stephanopolous' show, and the Dem said prices for turkey were the highest ever....and the Walmart guy said the Thanksgiving basket at Walmart was 25% lower than under Biden, turkey the lowest since 2019.

Jacobin Mag, a socialist supporter of the Democrat Party ran some polls that may surprise many.

1. "A recent CNN/SSRS poll from March 2025 found that just 29 percent of Americans hold a favorable view of the Democratic Party....This overwhelmingly negative public sentiment toward the Democrats was confirmed by a new study of voters in four Rust Belt states (Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) conducted by the Center for Working-Class Politics (CWCP), the Labor Institute, and Rutgers University. It found that over 70 percent of Rust Belt voters hold a negative view of the party.

2. ...there was a discernable negative effect of running as a Democrat versus running as an independent....the survey tested respondents’ favorability toward economic populist candidates who employed identical language around corporate greed, lowering costs, and protecting jobs — except that some were described as Democrats and others as independents.....Democrats performed 10 to 16 points worse in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio than otherwise identical independents delivering the same pitch.

3. ...the CWCP/Labor Institute/Rutgers researchers wanted to know why so many people dislike the Democratic Party,...Contrary to many analyses that have blamed Democrats for holding extreme positions on social and cultural issues that alienated swing voters, the dominant theme we observed was voters’ anger at the Democratic Party for failing to deliver. Among Democratic and independent respondents, the most common critique of the Democratic Party was its perceived inability to carry out policies that help ordinary people.

4..... substantial percentages of both independents and Republicans stressed that they felt the Democratic Party is untrustworthy, either because they lie or because they are corrupt. One Republican respondent reported feeling that the Democratic Party “has become extremely corrupt while pointing the blame at others. [They are] more interested in helping themselves than helping their constituents.” Along similar lines, an independent respondent charged that the Democrats were the “party of the rich and fraudulent.”
Only 11 percent of independents and 19 percent of Republicans explicitly mentioned “wokeness” or ideological extremism in their description of the Democratic Party.

5. ....the evidence suggests most voters who hold negative views of the Democratic Party are motivated less by the culture war than by a broader judgment that the party is captured by elites and not delivering tangible gains for working people. If Democrats have any hope of capitalizing on Republicans’ increasing political vulnerabilities, they need to work tirelessly to show skeptical voters — who feel burned by decades of false promises — that they are serious about reclaiming the mantle of America’s party of the working class."
All quots from Why Americans Hate the Democratic Party

Are you listening Democrat voters????
Your (typically) babbling OP is (as usual) predicated upon the false premise that Democrats are somehow "sunk."
Not even true. You just made that up.
The results of last week's election render this OP foolish.
