This is really not a big deal....just a short article on the blatant hypocrisy that permeates right wingers' "thinking".....(I refrained in my thread's title from writing "pissing in the wind"......lol)

The Indianapolis Star published a striking scoop last night:

Vice President Mike Pence routinely used a private email account to conduct public business as governor of Indiana, at times discussing sensitive matters and homeland security issues.

Emails released to IndyStar in response to a public records request show Pence communicated via his personal AOL account with top advisers on topics ranging from security gates at the governor’s residence to the state’s response to terror attacks across the globe. In one email, Pence’s top state homeland security adviser relayed an update from the FBI regarding the arrests of several men on federal terror-related charges.

Cybersecurity experts say the emails raise concerns about whether such sensitive information was adequately protected from hackers, given that personal accounts like Pence’s are typically less secure than government email accounts. In fact, Pence’s personal account was hacked last summer.

Furthermore, advocates for open government expressed concerns about transparency because personal emails aren’t immediately captured on state servers that are searched in response to public records requests.

No one is denying the accuracy of the materials; they came from the state of Indiana itself. What’s more, an unspecified number of Pence’s emails were not released as part of the public-records request because, as the Star reported, “the state considers them confidential and too sensitive to release to the public.”

So, where’s the hair-on-fire apoplexy?

The Star’s report added that Pence’s account “was actually compromised last summer by a scammer who sent an email to his contacts claiming Pence and his wife were stranded in the Philippines and in urgent need of money.” (Pence apologized to his contacts … and created a new AOL account.)

When you take the totality of current day conservative values into consideration, with the nonstop demonizing of anyone that disagrees with The Republican Politburo, fostered 24/7 nonstop by Fake Fox News and conservative talk radio you get the overall picture of their belief system. They do not make a distinction between right and wrong anymore. In their minds they are always right about everything and it doesn't matter how immoral, how much they have to lie, or debauched they are as long as they win.

It reminds me of the declaration of the leader of the German army just before the invaded Russia (If I remember the dates correctly). He told his Generals "it doesn't matter if you are right, it only matter if you win."

How evil is made rational to a hesitant mind. The fallacy of the appeal to authority is also at play here. Fake Fox News and the likes of Rush Limbaugh are the ones sending this proclamation out to the conservative base on a daily basis now though.

why Trump picked Pence:

the last thing a presidential candidate wants is for pundits and voters to start wondering why the number 2 person isn't the number one person. you need a VP who the country takes seriously, but one who has far less charisma than Trump. Pence created a perfect contrast. when he stood next to Trump, he literally looked like the washed-out version. Pence is like a black-and-white photograph compared with Trump's multimedia looks and personality. Pence is one of the most experienced and capable politicians our country has ever produced, but he still disappears in Trump's charisma field.

The above is a description of the CULT mentality....Right wingers REALLY believe that God is a partisan hack who believes that guns are part of freedom, and that biases is a God-given right......and that God wakes up every morning and actually blesses the U.S. over other countries.
