Hey fellas, this is not a vag. Trust me on this. Your peen, cut open and fileted like a fish and turned inside-out, is not a vag. It's a wound which you have to "dilate" and treat with antibiotics for the rest of your life, as it continues to heal (close up) and get infected.

This is a great explanation of how surgeons make FrankenVags.

Ew.

Why do you care?

You're not ******* her, are you?

Self mutilation is now medically assisted.

Any doctor performing the procedure is a Quack and taking advantage of a patients mental illness instead of addressing it.

These people remain unhappy and depressed because their wish of being the opposite sex can never be made into reality.
They just become a butchered freak.

And they're in for a lifetime of really foul odor, multiple "dilations" and infections.

But then they get mad when men don't want to mess around with their open wounds.

Because this does not make a woman. It's a man with a Franken Vag.

Signed,

A woman who has gone through a lifetime of being a woman, including just having a bunch of tests done.

Again, why do you care? It was a simple question. Has no effect on your life whatsoever.

If it makes her/him happier, let them do it.

I'm a bald guy. I would never consider mutilating myself with hair plugs. But some guys go through that, for whatever reason.

Under the ACA, we are forced to pay for the mutilation.

Also under Obamacare, the hormonalization and mutilation of children has become a medical cottage industry.

Normal people care about that.
If it makes her/him happier, let them do it.
Given their extremely high suicide rate, never shown to be mitigated by surgical gender affirming care, it does not make him/her happier.

And I don't want to pay for it when they do.

You are right in that it is purely cosmetic.

Really?

Seems we do a lot of self-butchery.

Hair transplants
Boob Jobs
Face Lifts
Rhinoplasties
Tummy Tucks
Blephoroplasties (because we've convinced Asians their eyes are too slanty)
Butt implants

I'm sure there's a whole list of other cosmetic surgeries I'm missing here. We don't like being bald, or small-chested, or whatever.
It strikes me that this is more about your objections than anything about them.

Except people who get Gender Affirming Care are less likely to engage in self-harm than those who don't.

But there are some Christians who would rather have a dead son than a live daughter.

Um, no, it's considered elective surgery.

I personally don't like paying for cancer treatment for ijits who smoked two packs a day, but here we are.
No offense, but this is why I dislike arguing with lefties. Too much time spent explaining facts to them, that they should know about the issues that they care about and push.

Not true.

All studies purporting to show that have been based on self-reports of thoughts, not actual report of actions.

Mutilation of genitals falls far outside those procedures because it doesn't address the root mental illness.
A person can never truly be the opposite sex.
Ironic you object to my objections.

Maybe you should educate yourself.

They have a right to do it. I never said they don't have the right to do it.

This does not make them a woman though.

Getting a boob job doesn't mean I'm big-chested though. It's cosmetic. Hence the very name.

Same with gender surgery. The changes are cosmetic. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, "changes to the way the a c a covers gender affirming care."

That means that the a c a covers gender affirmative care. this is what I mean. you're about to go back to ignore land.

Federal and state policies
Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) created specific protections barring insurance discrimination based
on sexual orientation and gender identity.8
Prior to enactment, medically necessary gender-affirming hormones
and surgeries were often excluded from insurance coverage. Addressing this disparity, the US Department of Health
and Human Services (HHS) promulgated final regulations in 2016 implementing section 1557 of the ACA to extend
protections against sex discrimination to health coverage and care for the first time and including gender identity
discrimination within the definition of sex discrimination.9
However, a federal court stayed a legal challenge to the
rule after the current Administration announced it would reconsider the rule’s prohibition on discrimination based
on gender identity. The timeline for HHS reconsideration is unknown and the current Administration has, to date,
declined to defend the regulation.10 Rulings by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission remain intact,
however, which found that employer-sponsored plans that exclude gender-affirming care violate Title VII. 11 Title VII
of the Civil Rights Act prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin.
