I love the political spin by Dems. If Reps disagree with a wild spending spree that is called a stimilus bill then they are "doing nothing." The fact that the higher taxes that will eventually result and will eventually drag down struggling businesses even more doesn't sound like "doing something", it sounds like the end of the U.S. as an economic superpower. Why would you increase taxes on businesses in a bad economic climate?? That would be like telling someone with the flu to exercise a lot to get over it. Makes no sense. Ok, so if we accept the premise of more and more spending is the right thing, then why not triple government spending, triple tax rates on businesses and consumers and we will really have a stimulus package and be doing something! Ah, not.
