The social compact is simply people agreeing to behave in a civilized fashion and respect law and order. In return for which, we all get a reasonable quality of life. That's what living in a first world country is all about.

But the government has broken the social compact because they've impoverish so many people, and left them without so much as a roof over their heads, so what's the point of living by the rules when you get shit on for it. People are having their opportunity of even having a roof over their heads stripped from them, and no one cares.

This isn't happening in other countries and you're the richest country in the world. How can you have a system that doesn't provide working people with adequate income for food and shelter?

In the nation with more billionaires and millionaires than any country in the world, how can you have so much poverty and homelessnesss??????
