What causes YOU to be a good person?

I won't allow myself do things that would make my father ashamed of me. Even though he passed years ago his wise teachings still rule my actions.....With a bit of adjusting here and there to suit the times of course but the basics of what I learned from him still apply.
.

That's it. If it would make my mother (also deceased) disappointed in me, it's a no-go.

Ok. So what caused them to be a good person? Was good behavior developed generationally or were there some basic rules set forward at some distant period of time?

**** if I know....He was a good man as was his dad.

To this day I hear people that are still alive to remember him tell me what a good man he was.

Never mind you voted for Spanberger in 2022 and have repeatedly lied about it...

You claim you are a "conservative" and you aren't.

You claim you care about America but you only care about Israel.

You are Exhibit A of a low character person and what has wrecked GOP and America over lies...

Heck, you've been lying for almost a quarter century, traitor...

Here is the Mayor of Shanksville calling you a treasonous liar...

1) I take care of my own. I have never burdened anyone, including society.
2) I was/am a really good father to my children. I prepared them well for adult life. So they take care of their own, and don't burden anyone for their shit.
3) I am a really good husband. Just ask my wife. It isn't rocket science, unless the person you are with is happy - you won't be happy. As long as each values the well being of the other more than their self. That is all there is to having a happy marriage.
4) I have been a good employer for a lot of people over the years.
5) My goal is every person who has met me, benefited in some way.

Commendable, but what/who caused you to be that way in the first place? It had to take root someway.

And in having a big ego, too, I see.
Not at all.
Miserable people will only drag you into their misery.
Everyone deserves help when things happen that are out of their control, but only if they work to get out of it more than you help them.
Everyone deserves to get a 2nd chance when you **** up. We all do stupid things from time to time. As long as you work harder to repair the damage you created for others than they help you - you deserve that too.

But some people are better avoided. Helping them only provides a means for them to stay depended on you and others. They don't deserve shit.

Now just think of all the kids that never had a mom or dad to teach them proper.

Back to my original point: Where did those moms and dads get their rules that made them "good people"? Rules like "Thou shalt no kill", "Thou shalt not steal", "Thou shalt no commit adultery", etc?

Someone should write them all down a make a book about them. I bet it would be a best seller.
