There is a long-standing tradition (in both parties) that the former leaders of the party stay out of the battles for the next leader. That should surprise no one who isn't paid to lie and hyperventilate - or otherwise can't help himself.
Other than that, were Barack to intervene, he'd just demonstrate that Biden isn't deemed man enough to defend himself and his record. Assuming otherwise, again, just demonstrates the know-nothings are just somehow congregating to hyperventilate over nothing. Which rightarded outfit gave the marching order these days? Naw, I am not really interested.
Barack and Michelle will come out for the one who gets the nomination, and otherwise keep quiet, to the surprise of exactly no one who is of a sane mind.
