A cynic might say that they are merely demonstrating out of frustration because their candidate lost in November, but if you look closely they really have nothing to complain about.

I hate to point this out, but it is nothing more than a mass demonstration of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Trump did it (or plans to do it) so WE ARE AGAINST IT!

I'm sorry for repeating myself, but the gay community has nothing in common with the trans community and they should sever that tie immediately. For better or worse, the civil rights of gay people are established, and not seriously questioned by any significant institution. President Trump's cabinet has a higher percentage of G&L people than the general population, by a wide margin. Trans people are simply delusional, and no Federal institutions are claiming they don't exist; they just decline to patronize their delusion.

These people are demonstrating for veterans' rights? How's that again? The VA might lose some of its bloat, that's it.

The article notes that there were no counter-demonstrators there. No surprise. Why try to suppress your adversaries when they are making asses out of themselves. Besides, you would be hard pressed to find a single Republican in that neighborhood, the biggest Jewish community in Pittsburgh.

The Democrats have had a lot of success with this very formula for 20 or more years. Here's what they do. Come up with an absolutely insane idea and float it. Like AOC did for the Green New Deal, for example. It gets ridiculed by conservatives and laughed at, gets zero votes in Congress. But then the leftwing media kicks in, making it sound reasonable. Then it comes up again, and again the media normalizes it. Then all the sudden, it has enough acceptance to become law, and not enough people object.

They did this exact same with gay marriage. Preposterous at first, right? Went down in flames in numerous state referenda. 0bama and all the Democrats opposed it in 2008. But then through all the media pounding, the public gradually came to accept it, to such a degree that in 2012, Hillary, 0bama, and Biden simultaneously changed their 'core' position, and now favored gay marriage. 0bama inserted two radical lesbian Marxists on the Court, and voila. It became law.

Think back 20 years ago. They did this with Saddam's WMD. In 1999, inspectors observed WMD; then three years later, the deep state left concocted the lie there were never any WMD, the media pounded it, and everybody ran with it.

Ditto the 2020 election. Obviously stolen. 81 million votes for the worst candidate in history. Preposterous, right? But the leftwing media pounded it and still does today citing every reference as "FALSE claims of the stolen election". But this time people are starting to wise up. And you're correct, with the trans sports thing, they took it too far. People are now rejecting everything the media says. Let's hope it continues or the leftwing media machine gets dismantled.

I do think there are fewer protests, because there is less money. The radicals blew through over a billion and a half on Giggles' failure last November, and the donors are tired of being had.

No it's not, Pittsburgh is blue every election and has had a D mayor for years, since 1934. Allegheny county is always blue.
