What are some of your favorite live albums in any genre?

My favorites include Muddy Mississippi Waters Live, featuring Johnny Winter on guitar and vocals. The Who Live At Leeds, Frampton Comes Alive and Cheap Trick At Budokan.

That's a tough question, I tend to shy away from live albums, the songs tend to stray much farther from the intended studio version as written plus there is all the distraction of 5,000 drunks idiots all yelling in the background.

The Rush All The Worlds A Stage Live is a good album as is the Rare Earth Live in Concert backpack album, and of course there are many others, Deep Purple in Tokyo, more than I want to get into, but I have to agree, another that comes to mind has to be Frampton's Comes Alive as a very strong contender for best live album ever.

Soon as it begins, it just kind of sweeps you up off into some other world.

I saw Johnny and Edgar and IMHO Johnny was much better.

Rick Derringer played with Edgar.

I can't top those. Great choices, every one.
Johnny Winter is one of the most underrated guitarists/singers ever. His Second Winter album blew my mind.

Edgar's whole career was predicated on that one song, Frankenstein.
Johnny was a guitar-player's musician playing for the art while Edgar went commercial for the record sales and money.
