What are some of your favorite Country Music albums?

My favorites include Behind Closed Doors by Charlie Rich, Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson and The Best Of The Best Of Merle Haggard.
Country is the one kinda music I cannot stomach.

It always amazes me when someone claims they can't stand an entire genre of music. Really?

There's something to love in every kind of music. I have a yuuuuuge list of music I love from many different genres.

This is about as close as I ever got to country music.

I saw him in concert as a teen. I was more into rock and roll and didn't think I'd like it, but I went for a friend. He put on an awesome show.

I'm no Country fan and my opinion ain't worth squat, but I have heard from real C&W fans that REAL country music is dead, it has all been commercialized. And I heard that many decades ago like in the 60s or 70s.

I have too many to name and so I will name my newest favorite which is I'll See You In My Dreams from Mason Ramsey.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a girl who can't wait for his next release)

Red Headed Stranger is a classic. This one's gonna hurt you by Marty Stuart. Guitars, Cadillacs and Hillbilly music, Dwight Yokum. Everything by Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris.

Cody Johnson doesn't have an album called "The Fall," but "The Fall" is a significant song from the deluxe edition of his album Leather (2023), released as a single in April 2025

Here is the Fall

I couldn't find The Fall on Leather and learned it is on the deluxe edition. Great song and great album

Travelin Soldier isn't on an album. It's a single but you'll love it

Isn't he great?

I'll be honest in 1989 I would have agreed but then my college roommate introduced me to Garth Brooks and country music. There were groups and songs I liked. But still, I didn't LOVE country. And over the years it has evolved and gotten much better.

Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Hardy, Morgan Wallen.

Who has listened to Morgan Wallen and doesn't like his stuff?

They've lost the twangy nonsense that turns off the masses. The songs are really good.

You can't listen to this and say you don't like it

Did you see Stephen Wilson Jr perform at the NYE Nashville party last night? Wow what a performance. What a beautiful rendition of Stand By Me

^^^ I saw him and I have to be honest. I don't get the hype.

God bless you and him always!!!

I'm glad you were honest. You and I have totally different taste in music. Like this woman I work with. She's always asking me if I know obscure names and she says they are country and I look them up. Not only have I never heard of them before, I think they suck. LOL.

Mason Ramsey was not good. I didn't want to tell you but you told me so I figured I'd be honest too. God bless you always.
