The apathy of citizens. People who complain about the state of politics and the country but don't take the time to be involved in, voting, jury duty, or political party involvement. This leaves the fringe and hucksters, delusional to hold sway in policy.

I understand but not everyone is in a good position to do much

However, that said, everyone can write letters to Congress and etc..

I've thought the same thing many times.. My thought re this went like this:

Hmmm... WHY do certain people want to CONTROL others? What's that all about?

Not virtue signalling at all, but damn! I just could never figure this out.

Maybe if I thought about it a little longer...

To be fair ... there may be a very small percentage of men or women who actually have a virtuous reason for wanting a position of control. But I can't think of a single time that a politician removed restraints, restrictions, or petty laws from the books. And all of them become corrupted the longer they hang out in Washington, D.C.

I don't know about ALL. I think there are some good ones there. I KNOW there are, actually: Comer, Jordan, Johnson, Grassley ---and McCarthy was pretty impressive on Maria yesterday. That was one of her top 5 best shows IMO
