Well Darn, maybe there is such a thing as "price gouging" when IA gets into "dynamic pricing"

I knew about "dynamic pricing" for years so I guess putting AI in the mix was the next logical step.

Oh well, eventually the AI will figure out I'm a cheap and just stop messing around and offer it at a price it knows I will buy at.

It goes both ways if you are savvy.

For example.....If I see something I'm interested in on eBay, I'll pull it up and put it on my watch list, and move on....It's got so I always get a cheaper offer from the seller. Wayfair works that way too. ;)

Yep. I keep trying to tell people that the first, best, main use of AI will not be to make your life better but to make others richer. But there are ways to game the system yourself by not falling for any of their traps.

I pride myself in being a /horrible/ consumer.

I never liked the terms "price gouging" or "corporate greed" but if that is the way they are gonna act by using AI to up prices on the fly (then blame AI for it) then I don't know what else to call it.

AI is the devil.....I said early on that AI sees humans as deformed demons.

Oil prices, especially the cost of gasoline, has always pretty much been a result of dynamic pricing, yes?

But for sure, I expect AI to become a part of that.

Not exactly the same things but still discussing AIs role in our daily affairs these days, I'm reading where a lot of our modern day art and music is AI generated.

I object to that. Why can't we get AI to do the cooking, cleaning, yard work and and let us humans do the artwork and music?
