Welfare voter push? or Democrat vote buying?

Tha'ts the key isn't marxists? and you fall for that scum campaign add? Weak minded idiot...Pathetic

I think it's a powerful campaign ad.. and it hits the issue right on the head.

When someone like Romney gets rich, someone else loses... this is just tidal gravity..

Maybe it's time we turned the tides...

Wrong....You're a joke, not even worth talking to. Brainwashed idiot …If Romney were broke nobody would be better off...Unbelievable the stupidity of the liberal mind..or lack there of:eusa_eh:

Well, that money would go somewhere...

You know, the wealthy and their sad apologists really try to claim they are necessary, but again, we enjoyed our greatest prosperity as a nation in the period where they paid high marginal tax rates and we had lots of government spending on public works.

But I forget, cutthroat capitalism for America, Socialism for Israel...

Yes it is, they're not even trying to hide it. It's horrible

You guys have no one to blame but yourselves...

You put capital over labor, and now labor is voting against you...

This is what I've pointed out many times. When you cheat working people out of jobs, wages and benefits so a few rich douchebags can get richer, you make more of them dependent on government.

And then they totally vote for more of that shit.

It's kind of how you guys have become self-defeating.

NO, it's welfare recipients who are voting against America.

No, it's the wealthy who are working against America. Welfare recipiants are doing what they have to do to survive.

You give them jobs, you give then an incentive to not want more government. You don't give them jobs, they'll want more government. It's that simple, really.

Welfare voter push has GOP crying foul

The state has mailed out voter registration letters to nearly 500,000 welfare recipients, in a push sparked by a group led by former ACORN bigwigs that critics say is a naked bid to boost Democrats at the polls in November.

The letters, mailed last month by the state’s Department of Transitional Assistance, went out as Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown and Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren have been locked in a neck-and-neck race.

The welfare system’s get-out-the-vote push came in response to a suit brought by New England United for Justice (NEU4J), which is led by three former leaders of the controversial Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now. ACORN was disbanded in 2010 amid a voter fraud scandal

The suit was filed after a 35-year-old Lowell woman recertified her benefits at a Lowell welfare office last June and “was not offered the opportunity to register to vote at any time during her visit; nor was she offered a voter registration application,” according to papers filed in U.S. District Court.

NEU4J, along with the NAACP New England Area Conference, reached an agreement with the state on July 5 — just two months after the suit was filed.

The deal requires state officials to contact the 477,944 welfare recipients who were on the books between June 1, 2011 and May 31, 2012. The mailings will cost the state $275,844.

The state must also run public service announcements on TV and radio stations from mid-July through mid-October publicizing the agency’s registration push. And welfare office waiting rooms, which will soon be equipped with TVs, must make announcements explaining how to register to vote

what's kind of funny is that the only evidence of illegal vote buying is romney giving out sandwiches during the primaries...

*yawn*

Any job suitable to "give" most welfare recipients.

They won't do.

It is why Obama wants to remove the work for welfare requirement Clinton enacted

Actually, he is only allowing ALTERNATIVES if states request them, and two of the five states requesting alternatives are Republicans.

Mitt gave all sorts of things to Welfare Recipiants when he was governor of Massachusetts...

Yes they will let States do it. If their plan meets the approval of the Feds.

Just like health care.

Guess whose plans won't meet approval of the Feds ?

The Warrens (all in the family) are your typical sleazy Democrats...

yet people will vote for her..

It's not worried about what someone else has, it's worried about how it is used.

Quickly, what is the greater good, spending $77,000 curing Mrs. Stopic's Cancer or spending $77,000 on a Dressage Horse that came in 13th place in the Olympics?

Well, gee, I think anyone who is sane would say, "Yeah, saving Mrs. Stopic would be the better thing to do!"

wow...that is none of your business how anyone SPENDS their own monies...
do you worry about all the homes, cars, yachts, etc all the people in CONGRESS has?
you have went off the deep end with this

I think I hit it right on the nail. For all your "Christian" platitudes, the notion that anyone would let someone like Mrs. Stopic die so he could have a Polo Pony is kind of sorry. It's an immoral system, and you support it.. and the ironic thing is you get no benefit from doing so...

Joe, I'm not in the habit of giving neg reps, but you really deserve it.
no one let anyone die so they could have a polo pony.

Maybe let someone die in a pond so they could avoid a DUI arrest, but not a polo pony.

BTW, did he ^ have a polo pony?

Odd how your rich guy bashing is one-sided

Probably anyone who chucked out $20.95 for his book full of platitudes... which is where most of his money came from.

Probably bad, but not as bad as losing your livlihood, your insurance and your wife's life because Mittens needed a new barn for their Dressage Horsie..

I've notice that you do these personal attacks when you don't have a response...

Which is frequently... You really aren't very good at this, are you?

Joe dear, there is nothing to say to some of this stuff you are spouting it's so ridiculous..

So you blame Obama for all the companies that have went bankrupt since he's been President and people have lost their livelihoods, pensions, insurance and some have EVEN DIED?

no of course not...but you want to blame Romney for all this...you people look like fools, I'm sorry

No, I don't, because only a complete retard would do that. Most of the damage that was done to these companies happened on Bush's watch, but I don't blame Bush, either.

Obama or Bush didn't personally make the decisions that put those companies into bankruptcy.

Bain was managing GS Steel. They were the ones who used their assets to borrow money to pay dividends to investors while underfunding the pension fund (The Feds had to pony up 44 million to support GS STeel's pension fund).

SNIP:
Solar Energy Company Touted By Obama Goes Bankrupt

President Obama tours Solyndra plant in 2010.

A California solar panel manufacturer which President Obama had made the poster child of his effort to expand the green economy and grow jobs has filed for bankruptcy, the company announced today.

Solyndra said “global economic and solar industry market conditions” forced it to abruptly shutter its Fremont, Calif., factory and immediately layoff more than 1,100 employees.

“Regulatory and policy uncertainties in recent months created significant near-term excess supply and price erosion,” Solyndra president and CEO Brian Harrison said in a statement. “Raising incremental capital in this environment was not possible. This was an unexpected outcome and is most unfortunate.”

The White House did not immediately respond to ABC News’ requests for comment.

President Obama visited Solyndra in May 2010, heralding the company as “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.” He also cited it as a success story from the government’s $787 billion economic stimulus package.

“Less than a year ago, we were standing on what was an empty lot. But through the Recovery Act, this company received a loan to expand its operations,” Obama said at the time. “This new factory is the result of those loans.”

In 2009, the Obama administration fast-tracked Solyndra’s loan application, later awarding it $535 million in guarantees from the stimulus funds.

you really need to stop...Obama not only put people out of work who lost everything and some probably even died, he WASTED our tax dollars doing it...people aren't as stupid as you and Obama believe them to be..this ad was as dispicable as he is...

Of course you wouldn't blame Obama..only when Romney has money in a company

Yes, when Mitt Romney has money in the company, is making the decisions and is benefitting from the results of them, do I hold him responsible.

As opposed to Solyndra, which got approval for government loans under Bush, and whose collapse was caused by lo-cost Chinese parts undercutting the market.

Delusional disorder

Delusional disorder (DD) may be described as a psychiatric condition in which a delusion is the primary symptom, and patients are otherwise ‘normal’ (Charlton & McClelland, 1999).

The subject matter of the delusion is variable; with persecutory, jealous, grandiose, erotomaniac and somatic subtypes being recognised (APA, 1994). Furthermore, Delusional disorder is characterised by specifically social abnormalities of behaviour - such as morbid states of jealousy, love, self-awareness or fear of other people (Charlton & McClelland, 1999).

Of course it's a Democratic voter push. They run around bashing the ones that do work, while promising to keep welfare going to those that have no interest in it. I'm not just saying this.. I live in an area where a LOT of people mooch the government.. and are probably 100% Democrat.. There's no drive.. No will to succeed.. But mention the rich and you can sure here them yelping!

Nonsense.

The Public Agency Registration Project

Congress passed the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) in 1993 to increase the number of citizens registered to vote in Federal elections. It is often referred to as the “motor voter” law because it requires states to offer voter registration with driver’s license application and renewal.

An equally important but less well-known provision of the NVRA is the requirement that states offer voter registration opportunities to clients and applicants of public assistance programs. Programs covered by the NVRA include Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Medicaid. Public assistance offices are in a unique position to increase voter registration rates among low-income citizens, furthering the intent of the NVRA to increase registration among populations underrepresented on the voter registration rolls.

Public Agency Registration
The state failed to follow Federal law, hence its settling the lawsuit.

Conservatives are in no position to ‘cry foul’ when a state agrees to obey the law.

Otherwise this has nothing to do with democrats and is consequently a non-issue.
...and here again is the federal government cherry picking which laws it will enforce and which it will ignore.
