Further, it is not biblical to violate a law to achieve a “good.” Caring for the poor, orphans, and widows is something the Bible commands us to do (Galatians 2:10; James 1:27; 2:2–15). However, the biblical fact that we are to care for the unfortunate does not mean we should violate the law in doing so. Supporting, enabling, and/or encouraging illegal immigration is, therefore, a violation of God’s Word.

I have never been a fan of Christians attaching themselves to a politician. Vote Republican for your personal reasons but do so in private. Publicly announcing your support for a politician is never going to bring glory to God. Billy Graham found that out when he led his sheep to Nixon.

Sure, but evidently Muslim is way different.

You had to stretch pretty far to make that assertion. To simplify...I don't think anyone should tie their religious belief to any politician. A politician is going to try and get the support of a religious leader to gain the vote of the people they represent. Religious leaders should rebuff such attempts.
