Over the two-year period, the analysis found "no reduction in obesity-related medical events," such as heart attacks, strokes and diagnoses of type 2 diabetes, or use of prescription drugs for hypertension and high cholesterol, compared to the control group.

Sorry, but this just shows the stupidity of the American medical system. Did they really think that a mere two years would be enough to erase what for many has been a decade or more of obesity?

We as a country have lost the ability to look to the future, to plan for the future. Everything has to be right now, we are too spoiled as a nation to be able to wait for the benefits of something.

Kinda what RFK is talking about. The medical industry doesn't try and make people well, it works to get them into managing, and maintaining their illnesses.

At great profit to them of course.

Look how many politicians are invested in the medical industry.

People get fat because they eat like shit and don’t exercise. Those things also make them wildly unhealthy. Taking a drug to make you less fat while still eating like shit and not wxercisinf doesn’t make the food they are shoving in their face healthier.

Empty generalizations are not at all helpful.

Ozempic saved me. I am not overweight but had an unstoppable uti. The drug stopped the runaway peeing with increasing the wastage time plus an added strong antibiotic killed the infection. And I lost a few pounds.
