Globalism is a leftist dream of some sort of New World Order where all will live in peace and harmony, share and share alike, all speaking with one voice, and all acting in the common good, i.e. global communism.

To get there requires achieving ruthless totalitarianism that destroys history, family unity, community, religious faith, values, mores, customs, tradition, principles that make a people unique and binds them together. It then controls all commerce, education, media, speech, everything.
(Of note every government that has achieved that power has never voluntarily relinquished it so that the communist utopia could exist.)

Nationalism Hitler style was belief in a master race and/or country that is entitled to control all and exterminate any undesirables.

Populism or nationalism MAGA style is government and culture that addresses the concerns and needs of the whole instead of the demands of the elite or special interest group. It promotes liberty, options, choices, opportunities and allows people to be who and what they want to be short of treading on the rights of others. The goal is a strong, free, prosperous America for all demographics. A weak America with struggling people is less able to protect their own interests, much less help anybody else.
