My younger son is going into the Air Force right out of high school as college these days, get a 4 year degree earns you a job at Starbucks. His skills to fix jets will give him a step forward as when his GI bill is available, he can then get his degree in Aerospace engineering, which President Trump says that the United States space program will start up again. He should be right there when it all happens....Shame that basket weaving, or inspecting women's rights for transgender's degree just doesn't make it anymore.

Excellent article, hopefully everyone reads it but many won't.

First and foremost, job seekers tend to lack the skills in demand by today’s employers. Second, those seeking work are increasingly unwilling (or financially unable) to move to where jobs are available. And third, employers have often unrealistic expectations.

During and after the Great Recession of 2007-2009, employers had the upper hand and could be choosy about who they hired because unemployment was high and openings were scarce. They could raise job application requirements like asking for a college degree, even if the job didn’t necessarily require one.

This is what Obama created , jobs, and the corps created the need for more skilled labor, by the way Trump talked we were destitute. An associate degree or HS should prepare a person to be an administrative assistant. What happened to "on the job training" ? .

We never needed a huge tax cut for the corps and wealthy, well lets see how this trickles down. I am rather upset that this was suppose to create jobs, (this job creation act) and yet it just gave bonuses to its employees of some companies that are going to rake in millions and billions from the tax cut and deregulations.

I think that those jobs will be in prison services and prison construction, and general criminal law business. The more citizens lose their economic foundations, the more criminal activity will start. That way more people will need to be warehoused in prisons, so prison staffing and criminal law business will be he new economy and job creation.
