But even if America matches china in the cost of raw materials there is still the issue of labor costs

China pays much less for workers than America pays

The chinese standard of living is lower than ours

Some misguided people here will say that American workers should make less

And/or that we need cheap migrant labor from the 3rd World

But I reject that idea

We need tariffs that close the unfair advantage that china enjoys

Noone wins with tariffs. Industries related to.national security should get government support and be based here. The rest are on their own.
