Is this the most annoying food show on TV..
The woman is a fraud. She even dresses in modern clothes.
Shes got a sickly smile, horrible actor teenage kids and a squeaky chipmunk voice that reminds me of the car hire woman that Steve Martin hired a non existent car from. Gobble Gobble!
Everything she cooks is "store bought" and comes from processed ingrediants.
Shes just made a chicken "curry" using curry powder. WTF is that ? Too lazy to mix some spices . She rated it as "yummy".

I am more of an ideas man really.But if I did a show I would prepare stuff above remedial level.
Its quite insulting really.

She works in a fancy kitchen with modern appliances
She makes simple dishes that non-cooks can prepare using easy to find ingredients

I could do it better than the so called pioneer woman. Ive owned dogs that could do a better job..
Currry powder for **** sake. Why not throw some bacon slices in it and top it off with melted cheese ?

Using ingredients that are more widely available like curry powder makes it more approachable for her audience. It is also cheaper and less pretentious than buying 10 or 11 different spices just to make one mix.

Now all that said, I hate her show because I cannot stand her voice. She has an odd combination of pitch accent and tone that grates on my nerves.

Im glad its not just me. She made my teeth ache. You can make a decent curry with about 4/5 spices. They should all be in your kitchen anyway.

Im glad its not just me. She made my teeth ache. You can make a decent curry with about 4/5 spices. They should all be in your kitchen anyway.

They are all in my kitchen--mixed together in the container of curry powder I bought

I am a culinary infidel I guess. When I want to whisk up a curry tempura batter for veg, I don't want to have to measure out a bunch of different stuff. I just toss it in until it looks yellow-orange enough and have at it.
