Well, that dude in the video made every cardinal mistake he could:

1. He stopped hard right beside the cop while he was doing something, making it clear he was stopping for the cop.
2. He made it plain that he was angry.
3. By the time he even got out of his car, the cop was already forewarned and expecting him.
4. Then the dolt goes running at the cop, carrying a lethal weapon which he cannot use until he gets within arm's reach.

Her should have:

1. Parked his car behind the cop, as if a totally unrelated incident.
2. Gotten out calmly, concealing the weapon, as if for an unrelated reason.
3. Approached the cop as if purely incidental, or perhaps to ask him a question.
4. THEN you throw the hatchet, use the axe, knife, gun, what-have-you, not giving the cop any forewarning nor time to prepare.
