Lib media won’t sell tariffs and immigration as it is…they refuse to look past their nose, they will pitch their spun version of reality …but what will Republicans do, what wil the Trump admin do? Stay committed to the mission or sell out to polls?

There is no long-term mission.

We are going forward not back to the 1950s.
1950’s…before we were $36 Trillion in debt, before 50 million illegals, before we had to trip over homeless on our streets, when our middle-class was booming, when we were united and likeminded…before our sons wore pajama pants to their barista job, before our children were suicidal and on anxiety and depression meds?
Are you sure you don’t want to return to 1950?

Quite sure.

You're not old enough to remember the 1950s, so you speak of a non-memory fantasy land that exists in your head only. I'd love to take you back there in a time machine.

My uncles told me it was tough times on the rezes. For whites, I gather it was OK, but still medicine was primitive by our standards today.

I suspect the majority of people will take the first choice. That's what we've always done. That's what's slowly gaining momentum.

If BL had been around then, he would know that the "booming middle-class" was putting cardboard into the bottom of their shoes on rainy days.

You mean those shoes primarily made in Endicott, NY, by Endicott-Johnson mfg, company?
Indeed, nothing like a good pair of Thom McGann's, Florsheim, or Bostonian shoes.

The middle class in the '50s wasn't able to afford those well made, but expensive shoes. More like J.C. Penney and Sears.

Stay the course

Ah, yes, the ‘50s when strong union membership guaranteed higher wages for dad so mom could stay home and take care of the house and kids.

Even if we tried the big corporate interests would step in and keep the workers from getting ahead.

The price was high, and that is why the Asian import market of shoes was born and grew.

Let American manufacturers compete with foreign products.

Florsheim is the only one that I'm familiar with. I've always wanted a pair due to their reputation for comfort. Now would be a good time to buy my first pair.
