I think you and I are saying the same thing. I don't agree with the destruction of the monuments to the great men that have gotten us here. I am only paraphrasing your points. My only addition is, at what point do we stop rehashing the injustices of the past and move on. When Democrats claim that our justice system is systemically racist, we point out that the people they are voting for are largely responsible.

Just like Dems like to run around saying that there is systemic racism. Well Dems have controlled, for decades, the government of most of the largest cities, public education, many US government departments, Hollywood, most major media outlets, universities, etc., and now bid tech.

If there is systemic racism, whose fault is it?

Well if the U.S. had not instituted chattel slavery, Jim Crow, "separate but equal", etc. in the first place then it wouldn't have had to correct course although it's not possible to undo the harm caused by the white supremacist laws, polices, court rulings, social mores etc. that they implemented and which devastated the lives of so many black people, the remnants of which are still causing harm today.
