More than a third of the roughly 220,000 people arrested by ICE officers in the first nine months of the Trump administration had no criminal histories, according to new data.

The data, which includes ICE arrests from Jan. 20 to Oct. 15, shows that nearly 75,000 people with no criminal records have been swept up in immigration operations that the president and his top officials have said would target murderers, rapists and gang members.

“It contradicts what the administration has been saying about people who are convicted criminals and that they are going after the worst of the worst,” said Ariel Ruiz Soto, senior policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute.

The figures provide the most revealing look to date into the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. They were shared by the University of California, Berkeley’s Deportation Data Project, which obtained them through a lawsuit brought against Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The data suggests the goal was never to eliminate the criminal element among the immigrant population but rather to make conditions, even for those without a criminal record, intolerable. To make those seeking immigration to the US through legal channels question whether it was worth the risk to be deported to Africa without due process. In short, to get and keep the brown people out. Using them as scapegoats in difficult economic times.

Remember, crossing the border with legal status is a civil, not criminal offense.

If one crosses the border with legal status, it is not an offense at all.

If one crosses the border without legal status, it is both a civil AND a criminal offense (US Code 8 Section 1325)

It would stop the deprivation of US businesses of over $200 Billion/year previoulsly lost to them in remittances. Instead of those $$$$$$$$ going out of the country & being spent in foreign stores, they would be spent here in US stores (aka "the economy"), thereby strengthening the US economy immensely.

It would further increase sale$$$ due to the higher wages paid to Americans, and thus higher sale$$$.

13. Decrease in funds available for entitlements.
14. Cultural erosion.
15. Overuse of scarce resources (oil, gasoline, fresh water, jobs, electricity, food, etc)
