Was the Covenant School mass shooting a hate crime?

I believe it's possible, yes.

When did I make that notion and why are those things mutually exclusive?

Not you personally, but the overwhelming view among the left, is that LGBT is a "gender identity", not a mental illness. That notion is not only supported and defended by the left, but by such government agencies like the HHS, NIH, and all the way up to the White House.

To identify LGBT as being a gender identity or a sexual orientation is to assume that it's not a "disorder." And yet, the idea that the cause of it could have been molestation as a child, could only indicate that it is a disorder.

So which one would it be? Something natural and normal, or something man-made?

I expect it's a little of both.

Someone can have a genetic propensity to being gay but I would argue that people who are straight can have a terrible situation like molestation, that causes them to experiment.

Humans are complex beings. I think a binary belief is unreasonable.

Not necessarily. It could bring someone out of the closet.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The former student who shot through the doors of a Christian elementary school in Nashville and killed three children and three adults had drawn a detailed map of the school, including potential entry points, and conducted surveillance of the building before carrying out the massacre.
Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake did not say exactly what drove the shooter to open fire Monday morning at The Covenant School before being killed by police. But he provided chilling examples of the shooter’s elaborate planning for the targeted attack, the latest in a series of mass shootings in a country that has grown increasingly unnerved by bloodshed in schools.
“We have a manifesto, we have some writings that we’re going over that pertain to this date, the actual incident,” he told reporters. “We have a map drawn out of how this was all going to take place.”
He said in an interview with NBC News that investigators believe the shooter had “some resentment for having to go to that school.”

What was Audrey Elizabeth Hale's motive?
Was he a transsexual man who hated Christians?
Over the last two years the American Media, Hollywood and the Democrats have been fanning the flames of transgender hate for Christians.
The Media and the Dems are trying to make this a gun control issue, but is it really a hate crime issue?
Yes it was

She was a tranny pretending to be a man & yes it was a hate crime.
How much you wanna bet they try to prevent the release of the manifesto as it will show her to be a crazed psycho that hated Christians?

Can't have something like that out there confusing the sheeple with the facts about the severe derangements of gender dysphoria transhumanism.
Real Christians are great and truly rare. As Gandhi said it. "your Christians are so unlike your Christ".

This absolutely was a hate crime. But, as is usual, Democrats and Liberals are inconsistent with their application and declaration of it being a hate crime because - in their minds - A) White Christians cannot be victims of hate crimes and B) a member of a victim class like Transgenders can’t commit a hate crime. This reminds me of the Gay nightclub shooting in Orlando where a Muslim was the perpetrator and Gays were victims. They could not declare it a hate crime because it was not a White Christian that committed it.

Hate Crime Laws are BULLSHIT and the more the Left is inconsistent about applying the law, the more it gets exposed as a tool, not a law.

The left will find excuses and will refuse to call it a hate crime. Those in the minority can't be accused of racism or hate crimes.

We see these events and end up with a generalized reason for it. We need specific reasons and very detailed ones. The Vegas tragedy is a one-page handout that we have not gotten real detailed answers to.

That's a good point, which I haven't seen made before. I had a gay friend -- now deceased -- who -- according to her partner -- had been sexually molested by an uncle when she was a child. It's not hard to see how that would make her, if not hate, at least not want intimate relations with, males. (Who are, let's, face it, often obnoxious in their own right in the war between the sexes.) She was a liberal Democrat in voting habits, but socially very conservative. Her idea of how to treat criminals (not just her uncle) would definitely fall under the category of 'cruel and unsual punishment'.
