Why then did he seem to have an obsession with satan then?

I think for many satanists, their only position is that they hate the God of the Bible. If so, how bad could his adversary be?

Or they don't believe in either, but they love the symbolism of satan as being in opposition to the God of the Bible as they are.

Marx is one or the other.
