If last night was a smackdown of major proportions, the Biden/Ryan debate is going to be a smackdown of Biblical proportions.

For one thing, Ryan is a wonk, he's a nerd, he lives for the next miniscule fact. He likes numbers he remembers the trivial right along with the major.

Biden is a gaffer. He never addresses facts. They gonna put you in chains! obama has a big stick! Is Biden going to sit down and concentrate over minutia the way Ryan will? It's not likely that he could even if he wanted to. He has had several aneurysms that have affected his thinking.

The best thing that Biden has going for him is that next to Ryan he will look old and befuddled and get some sympathy vote. Ryan will treat Biden respectfully, the way Grandpa with Alzheimers is treated at the dinner table.
