If we are "preppers", rest assured we have been "stocked" for years...waiting for that day when the New World Order establishment starts crumbling. We knew there would be fallout from that. I know I am. I call it the "real cost of low prices". We've had cheap Chinese crap for decades now. We've gotten used to it. But at such great expense to our self-sufficiency that we hardly "saved" anything in the long run. We gave away our power for cheap shit. Removing this broken system and replacing it will require invasive work on our economic system and a recuperation and recovery period. There is no other way around it. Either surrender to the system entirely or eke out the stormy period that comes as a result of it falling. Russia did. And that is the position Americans have been put into over the past 40 years. We will get by

Well fine but they can't blame it on tariffs... the tariffs are not that high now and the cost for transport is down due to lower fuel costs....

Effective tariffs are something like 40%. That's a pretty significant cost to a retailer with thin margins.

30% on China 10% on all other nations who are talking and meeting with Trump's team... WalMart must have other reasons to raise prices because tariffs are not it... fuel is also lower so what gives?...

That’s the extra tariff rate, not the total tariff rate
And 30% is still more than enough to cause a price increase.
