I don't know if Trump really thought Iran would "make a deal" or not.

I mean really; the entire regime is a death cult of sorts that do not value life in any capacity other than to use their lives to try and destroy Israel and the US.

No, they are not going to make a deal, in fact, they are loving this hoping it will sink the Trump administration as well as the US economy. They would gladly die for that, along with surrendering the lives of all their citizens. Again, they do not value human life in the least.

If I were Trump, I would maybe try to get the international community to take over the Straits of Hormuz in order to at least accomplish something here. It would take away one of the greatest leverages they have internationally that they have.

But don't pretend that Iran is only a problem for Israel. The entire Middle East has been tormented by their terrorism for decades as they would gladly be rid of them if they could. Therefore, they would have a vested interest in helping the US decrease their power considerably by having the international community take over that section of their country.

As for the WMD problem, I suppose you either go in and take out the entire regime, which no country on earth is willing to do, due to the problem that no country has the political will or money to do so, or you just wait will they use one of their WMD's But when they do use one, you simply wipe the entire country off the face of the earth using your own WMD's

Sadly, I don't see any other alternatives.

What do I suggest Trump do at this point? Resign, get dumbass Vance to do the same, and let a new admin address this problem. No one, here, in Iran, or any other nation trusts Trump. He will get nothing from Iran but our soldiers deaths. Iran's regime is despicable, but how much are we and the world willing to pay to get rid of it? Right now the price is looking rather high, especially considering Iran is already expert in building drones. Trump went to war without any consideration of logistics, and we are already running out of missile interceptors and Tomahawks.

What are you seeing right now with Hormuz mostly closed? There are many more products other than oil that goes through that straight. Fertilizer for one thing, aluminum for another. And having Asian and European economies go down will drag ours down, also. Just look at the present price of a barrel of oil, and the price of gasoline and diesel. Most of our goods move by truck on the final leg, so the price of diesel rising will raise the price of everything else.
