There is nothing keeping immigrants from doing that right now. I can maybe understand having some concerns if you are an illegal alien, but they are in fact encouraged to come forward because they would be able to get legal status then, either a S Visa, or U Visa

Sanctuary Laws are for NON-CRIMINAL immigrants who may be undocumented. They exist so that if they see someone who needs help they arent afraid to give it and for many other similar reasons. If a CRIMINAL does anything CRIMINAL they will get arrested and prosecuted. No one is letting violent immigrant criminals go free while keeping violent criminals in jail if they are citizens. That is some crazy shit you are suggesting.
