Not "centuries". Centuries (numerical) means, at least, two centuries. American-mexican war ended in 1848. Lesser than two centuries ago.
While Kiev became Russian city more than a thousand years ago.
Anyway, its not about how long ago those territories became the parts of the USA. It is about citizens and their survival. I believe that no amount of "international pressure" might force America to betray tens of millions of Americans and allow Mexicans discriminate, abuse and genocide them.

First of all - nobody cares (especially about American opinion). Second - we recognised those borders, but later we recognised independence of Crimea and Donbass republics. Third - we agreed to respect independence of the neutral Ukraine (with equal rights for Russians) when NATO agreed not to expand eastward. Both NATO and Ukraine have violated their parts of the deal - therefore, Russia doesn't have any moral obligations, too.

What is even more important - if your "shipments" became more or less sensitive - Russia is attacking the USA directly, if your shipments are not that dangerous - Russia attack the USA via proxies, too.
