You should understand that Trump is attempting to create a situation that suits America's priorities on defeating Russia.

Ukraine will fight until the last Russian leaves Ukrainian territory. Thus far, hundreds of thousands of Russians have bled out in Ukraine, and that many more will bleed out if Putin continues his aggression. If Putin puts any North Korean units into Ukrainian territory, we should put in a division of US Marines opposite them. Remember what happened after the surrender of Sudetenland to Germany.

Defeating Russia will only create a vacuum that bad-actors will turn a possible trading partner into a place where the only thing that Russians have to look forward to is starvation, drug trafficking, and terrorists getting a hold of massive numbers of nukes from illegal weapons sales.

The only problem with your theory is that Russia isn't being worn down. They are within weeks of total victory over the Ukraine and US aggression.

America has no weapons to give to the Ukraine, and the EU doesn't have what they need for a month!
