Virginia House Democrats on Thursday muscled through a sweeping package of gun control legislation, passing more than half a dozen bills aimed at restricting access to certain firearms, tightening storage requirements and expanding civil liability for the gun industry, as Republicans — reduced to an even smaller minority after November’s elections — spoke forcefully in opposition but were ultimately unable to stop the measures.

The proposals are now headed to the Virginia Senate, included a ban on the sale of assault-style weapons and large-capacity magazines.

Folks here have also started ordering P-Mags by the case.

Democrats hate the right to keep and bear arms, and will do everything they can to make it as hard as possible for the law abiding to exercise it - they do not give a hoot in hell about the 2nd Amendment, the Constitution, or the Supreme Court, and will not - because they can not - tell you what sort of law violates it, as they do not believe any laws do.

They are exactly the people the 2nd was written for.

As they refuse to modulate their forcible intercourse of the right to keep and bear arms, and refuse to accept the limits laid down by the SC, it is up to the people to stand up to them.

Unclear what will come out of the Virginia Senate but I hear they have backed off the mags already in possession. I'd not bank on it though.
