Yes, Elon is a weird guy. A lot of comic material there.

Musk spent a lot of time and money helping get Trump elected, and expected the $7500 subsidy on electric cars to be renewed. When he found out there would be no EV subsidy in the Big Beautiful Bill, he was pissed.

With Trump he learned an expensive lesson. Trump is much different than the politicians Musk was used to dealing with in California. He learned the hard way that Trump can't be bought.
