Well, you understand it wrong. The testimony indicated another kid pulled a gun at a party, not Ramirez.

The white boy admitted to the crime, showed remorse and worked out a plea. Karmelo claimed a right to kill an unarmed person and had no remorse and didn't take the stand to give his side of the story. Karmelo's entire defense was "I'm black. I'm a victim." As a strategy, it failed.

He did nothing of the sort. He tried to claim self-defense, just like Anthony did.

The only difference being that being a white kid, the jury was allowed to consider lesser charges and did.

He reminds me of a black woman I worked with. I showed her a picture of my parents, and she remarked “a white couple who never had any problems.” (She was a blactivist.) She can tell that from a photo? Why would she assume that? My mother had a life-threatening illness, my father had been laid off from work at one point, and BOTH lost relatives to Hitler.
