Verdict reached in Karmelo murder trial

Anthony is no longer presumed innocent and is guilty the website has a policy of collecting funds for a person convicted of a violent crime. Penny was acquitted, also Penny’s page added that any excess funds over and above the trial expenses would go to mental health programs, and to that his legal battles have not ended because an ongoing civil trial.

I know that won’t please you but those are the facts and policies that have been there for awhile. Now, if you can find a case where someone was found guilty and is still up there, then you have a real case. But two entirely different circumstances.

I just ead up on this case. Legally once you've retreated to safety, you can no longer reenter your home to fight your intruder and then claim SYG. This is not considered self defense under Florida state law and it makes complete sense. Ultimately this is just one case, you're claiming that SYG never applies to blacks. Where is the proof of this?

Firing a shot near people without hitting them is considered aggravated assault with a deadly weapon under Florida state law, which automatically triggers a mandatory 20 year jail sentence, barring a plea deal (2 years). This is why she was jailed. It's the law, not racism. She was only retried on appeal, not because of "public pressure." She took the plea deal on the second trial and got 2 years. If she had fired that gun while still in her own home when her husband broke in, THEN SYG laws would be able to be applied to her situation. I'm still not seeing any proof that SYG laws don't apply to blacks. It wasn't even able to be applied here in her first trial or second!

Metcalf's parents weren't trying to put Anthony in jail, the justice system was FOR A CRIME HE COMMITTED. Metcalf's parents were trying to defuse the irrational anger from blacks that Anthony was being tried for anything at all. They wanted a race-neutral trial, Anthony's parents and the black community wanted a trial based upon race.

So let me get this straight. Zimmerman stalks Trayvon Martin, gets into a fight with a smaller black boy, and kills him dead, and "Well, stand your ground". Marissa fires a warning shot in her own home against a serial abuser she was trying to get away from, and she gets 20 years.
