Verdict reached in Karmelo murder trial

But the Democrats would lose their voting base. In case you didn’t know, racism, goes both ways. If we include self-loathing, guilt-ridden, white Democrats, your party is loaded with racists.
Much more racism and antisemitism on the Left. They don’t even TRY to hide it. Look at how they turned out to vote in the Nazi from Maine, march around chanting “Death to Jews!,” set up “No Jews” zones on liberal campuses, and even proudly reject a job by telling the Jewish boss “I wouldn’t work for a Jew.”

That's nice .. it's 2026 defund the police

Actually, Chicago has increased the budget for the CPD.

From 1.5 Billion in 2019 to 2.0 Billion today.

That doesn't include the 1.1 Billion the City has paid out to compensate the victims (mostly black) of Police brutality and misconduct.

A 45-year-old woman was beaten to death with two bricks in a North Philadelphia alley Sunday morning, police said.

Police identified the victim as Keisha Furlow of Philadelphia.

The fatal assault happened after 6 a.m. Sunday in a rear alley on North Opal Street, according to police.

Furlow was found lying in the alleyway suffering from severe lacerations to her face, police said. She was pronounced dead at 6:14 a.m.
Blacks beats black woman to death for nothing
I heard nothing of this! Why wasn’t it on the news?

Except in the case of OJ and the case of Chauvin, et al. There are cases everyday where a white person is charged with murder and goes to prison for longer than Anthony. There is no white privilege or black privilege with regard to murder cases. Each case has mitigating factors and all juries are different. Stop with the race baiting.

In the case of Chauvin, he was caught red-handed on video doing exactly what he was accused of.

In the case of OJ, the gloves didn't fit. Fuhrman lied about using slurs. Fung lied about collecting the evidence himself. The police couldn't account for half of OJ's blood they took for testing.

The fact that you have to go back 30 years to find a case where a black man didn't get screwed by the system because he had enough money to put up a vigorous defense is telling.

Not that our racist system was happy to leave it at that. It charged OJ again for trying to recover his own property from a crooked memorabilia dealer and sent him to prison for 10 years (while everyone else involved walked.)

Platner isn't a Nazi. (Sorry, a tattoo you didn't understand isn't a political affliation)

Who said "I wouldn't work for a Jew", exactly?

I'm not sure what his intentions were for entering the tent, I just don't think a knife to the chest was a reasonable response to a push. In the end, the entire incident comes down to that question.

I agree, a knife to the chest was not a reasonable response.
It wasn't a reasonable response for Caysen Allison, either, but that kid only got 10 years. White Privilege

Shooting someone for throwing popcorn at him, as Curtis Reeves did, was not reasonable, but that guy got acquitted. WHite Privilege.

OJ confessed to Roosevelt Grier who could not testify due to clergical confidentiality. OJ was also fund liable in a civil trial. OJ was a psychopath and the murder was a hate crime. He became a role model for black males.

Floyd died from a drug over dose.

Thank you for proving my point. There are facts in every case that change the dynamic. I didn’t have to go back 30 years, I just brought that one up because it was the most glaring example of how race clearly isn’t a factor, unless you want to go the route that the black people on the jury were the racist and they didn’t have it in them to convict a black icon like OJ for killing 2 white people. I am not saying that is what happened, but if OJ was white and his wife and friend were black, I am pretty sure you would have been the first one screaming about racism from the white jurors that set him free. See how it works?

This was a case of jury nullification and an incompetent judge. The good news is OJs life was ruined

Grier never said anything of the sort. Guards overheard PART of a conversation.
Civil trials are meaningless, especially since OJ never paid squat.
OJ killed his wife because he was an abuser. Too bad the LAPD gave him a pass on so many previous abuse calls because he was a celebrity.

Exactly! Starting to get it now?
Starting to get what? Everyone knows that Austin pushed first. There's never been any question about that. The questions addressed in the trial were: Did Karmelo fear for his life? Was deadly force justified under the circumstances?

Judging by the testimony at trial, I would say the answer is no to both.

Yes, Chicago Police Department (CPD) numbers have decreased significantly. The department currently employs approximately 11,500 sworn police officers, which is down about 1,600 to 1,700 officers—a decline of nearly 13%—compared to peak staffing levels in 2018 and 2019. [1, 2, 3]
