Socialism isn't the problem; corruption and complete mismanagement is the country's problem. Socialism in itself is not the problem.
Even Marx said socialism would fail
Humans are too greedy for this bullshit to work. The central government gets wayyy too much power. Look at history. Socialism IS the problem.
I agree with you about the greedy part. What I have trouble with is, why socialism as an economic system can't seem to be separated from authoritarian rule or dictatorship in people's minds. Marx knew he was writing about a 'perfect' utopian society, but I don't think we need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The concept of 'sharing the wealth' or even part of the wealth doesn't have to mean ultimate communism unless we choose to make it that way.
Its the power.
While I agree a lot of the "lack of separation" is based on fear, a lot of it is also based on human nature. Humans with that much power, will do whatever they have to to retain it.
That's why I am so against globalization. Who do people think will lead the world? It is going to be the same greedy elite people are always talking about taking advantage of people and shit. If they can **** up the country like this, imagine how the world could be.
Wayyyy too much power. Leave the power to the people so we don't have to worry about it.
