The "crowd" at the Olympics would be mostly those who can afford to attend and are interested in sports. I doubt this is a fully representative sampling of Europe,. or "the world".
It does suggest that the USA spending blood and treasure to end the TWO WORLD WARS that Europe started, and then cover much of the costs of rebuilding afterward was a waste.
Also why it is good for USA interest to pull out of NATO.
That many in the world have turned into ungrateful, parasitic socialists does mean the USA has failed Europe or "The World".
Just the opposite.
Along with providing foreign aid for decades that outdid the amount from the non-Communist nations, we've recently provided GPS and the internet. Yet many ingrates, there and here, fail to at least appreciate such.
Image how the World would look if the USA spent the past 100 years being truly isolationist and uninvolved.
