USPS is in a death spiral. The more they raise prices, the fewer people use them, the fewer people who use them, the more they have to raise prices.
The only solution is for the government to take back the USPS and operate it at a loss as a public service.

I used to send a lot of stuff to my friend in Canada.

When Trump was in office, it was CHEAP! I mean, I could send a big box of packaged/dry/canned foods and stuff for like $40.00.
When the Pedophile was installed into the White House, it doubled. Last year it went up again, and this year its going up again $2.00 or more per pound.

The reason for that is that despite all the government lied about the stability of the currency the reality is that inflation has eroded spending power of the dollar. No where is it more evident or more comical than when the government tries to spend its own money to purchase something.

Back in the 1970’s, two brothers from my neighborhood took the clerk/carrier exam. The brother who scored 85 was hired and the brother who scored 95 was not. The USPS accepted scores between 80 and 90 to enable them to meet race quotas.
Eventually, they dumbed-down the test so they could hire anybody.

they did not have race quotas back then...you just needed to do decent on the test....the guy who got 95 had other reasons he wasnt hired....

you dont understand how the mail flows internally....if you did or had worked there you would never suggest that....it would up the OT hours a lot...

zip code has nothing to do with it....the mail moves forward everyday and stops at the carriers case were he/she puts up the mail...if they delivered 3 days a week they would have 4 days of mail to deal with that wasnt delivered....its one of the reasons they were not able to cut sat out....and regardless of what you guys think....the PO still has a hell of a lot of stuff to deliver.....

They would have 3 days of mail since they do not deliver on Sunday as it is.

I still find it hard to believe if they did half the cities one day and the other half the other day that there would be too much mail for the carrier to handle

no they wouldnt.....there would be 4 days worth sitting on the floor...even on Sundays the mail moves forward...Mondays are the heaviest day of the week because of not delivering on Sunday...and you dont understand because you dont understand how the mail flows internally.....and the bottom line is,OT would be double what it is now....and at Christmas time this would create a disaster....and much worse during an election time....

We pay most of ours online.

For shipping something use PirateShip. You save a lot of money. Seems kinda underhanded in a way.

I pay less online than taking it to the post office and there is an added middle man also but I guess you do what you got to do.
