To technical matters.

Does anyone here want to give me a rundown on the Rep score / power thingy?
I can see there is red and green.

I am impressed in a few hours yesterday I got to minus 15348 points.
Then went to +4.
Now am at minus 5638.

It seems to be a system where the score is meaningless, other than to say someone wants to give a positive or negative score. I mean, if it were a scale of +10 to -10 it may have some ordinal meaning. But if you can move a gross 20,000 units in a few hours, it might as well be 20,000 gazzillion.
Meaningless.

So, what it the purpose of it?
How does it get allocated in such a disproportionate way?
Who cares?

Would be pleased if someone, mod or member could give the basics here.

Why even worry about it?

It doesn't affect your ability to post.

It doesn't change your beliefs or mindsets.

It's not going to earn you any $$$$$

So, roll with it. It's no big deal!

You'll find that some obsess about rep. It appears to define them.
Some use it as a club, threat, tool and think its an indication of Membership In The Kewl Kids Klub.
Others don't care one way or another.
Most seem to fall somewhere in between.
Yes its meaningless - unless you're in the 4th grade.

If you care, there are countless threads/posts in this forum.

I am of the "don't care" way of thinking, but I thought had better check out, in case minus a million got me chucked out or something.

As it has no consequences, other than whether you like red or green, yes clearly it is 4th grade stuff.
