USDA Inspector General Physically Removed by Security After Refusing to Comply with Her Firing

The Trump administration has a pretty strong argument that the notice provision is unconstitutional. The Court has recognized the president’s “unrestricted removal power” over executive branch officials,
He has a SOLID argumwnt

SCOTUS has been ruling like that, pursuant to the Separation of Powers doctrine, for over 200 years.

It is not just that Congress has passed civil service laws that prevent presidents from arbitrarily firing Inspector Generals, but that this is an ancient tradition going back to the Magna Charta and British Common Law.

To legally fire an Inspector General, you have to give Congress 30 days notice so they can conduct a hearing to determine if the firing is valid or not.
The last time this law was modified was in 1976, so is up to date enough.

So anyone forcing any Inspector General out of their office before there has been the 30 day hearing, is a criminal.
What if Congress decides the firing is invalid? Does the IG stay employed?
