I think you are confusing other countries troops/pilots with Americans. My own daughter was in Iraq with her cavalry regiment during the last days of ISIS. I know nothing of what you wrote occurring to any Americans. During the entire operation, we lost 23 troops in combat.

ISIS made headlines when they executed a Jordanian pilot in 2015, by burning him alive. Is that what you mean?

We and the Russians had delineated zones where our aircraft operated. ISIS took advantage of that and established their bases in the Russian zones where we couldn't bomb them. Now that the Russians have pulled out the airspace over the ISIS camps are free for US air operations.

Failed states provide a breeding ground for extremist groups like ISIS. How many terrorist attacks have they been responsible for? Let’s ignore it, not our problem…until it becomes our problem and then it is a much bigger bloodier problem.
