USA Strikes Syria

It's the US norm for the military to fight against the terrorists who are being funded by the CIA.

Their safety was our business since we wanted them to return their nukes based there to Russia. They could have just as easily kept them and became another nuclear power overnight.
Ever hear of Chernobyl? Yeah, that's in Ukraine. Let Russia tend to the problem they created. Not my countries---not my war. As for defending them, what happened when Obama turned a blind eye to Crimea in 2014?

Trying to rewrite history again Cap'n Crunch?
I think you are confusing other countries troops/pilots with Americans. My own daughter was in Iraq with her cavalry regiment during the last days of ISIS. I know nothing of what you wrote occurring to any Americans. During the entire operation, we lost 23 troops in combat.

ISIS made headlines when they executed a Jordanian pilot in 2015, by burning him alive. Is that what you mean?

What exactly are you talking about?

Apparently you don't know who to fuk. The rebel leader who just overthrew Assad was previously both ISIS and Al Qaeda. :laughing0301:

No. I think we SHOULD strike if Americans are killed or being held hostage.

I think we SHOULD NOT strike is Americans are not being harmed.

Are Americans being harmed in syria? I haven't heard of any.

We still have about 900 troops stationed in east Syria. My wife's niece served there last year, she said it sucked.

Longtime Syrian leader Bashar Assad fled Damascus for Moscow.
President Joe Biden said US forces would remain in Syria to fight ISIS.

I fail to see a problem with bombing any ISIS or similar groups. The written/stated goal is that they will always kill non-believers. Period. They can't be reasoned with, bribed, or in any other way, placated. So, kill them all.

Jesus Christ, 25th Amendment NOW before Biden decides to go with nuclear strikes.

A primer for those who don't have a score card:

Ever hear of Chernobyl? Yeah, that's in Ukraine. Let Russia tend to the problem they created. Not my countries---not my war. As for defending them, what happened when Obama turned a blind eye to Crimea in 2014?
What does a powerplant that melted down when the USSR still controlled Ukraine nearly 40 years ago have to do with anything?

Obama was guilty of being a cowardly Democrat. We knew it then and we know it now. That does not excuse our obligations.

My question is why did they wait till Assad was gone?

We and the Russians had delineated zones where our aircraft operated. ISIS took advantage of that and established their bases in the Russian zones where we couldn't bomb them. Now that the Russians have pulled out the airspace over the ISIS camps are free for US air operations.

What did we do or not do in Afghanistan that promoted 911? Please keep to relevant topics. I'll be waiting for you to justify your comment.
You don’t get it.

Failed states provide a breeding ground for extremist groups like ISIS. How many terrorist attacks have they been responsible for? Let’s ignore it, not our problem…until it becomes our problem and then it is a much bigger bloodier problem. I’m not advocating boots on the ground or saying that there haven’t been unnecessary conflicts we stuck ourselves in or even started, but we ignore this at our own peril.

Personally, I’m very concerned about what is happening there, it is as if the entire region is becoming increasingly unraveled and tbe number of failed states is piling up.

Like Barack Obama once said. "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*k things up."

I did not just make that up. Google it, if you don't believe me.
