To avoid being perceived as gullible, you need to maintain an index of suspicion about Israel's cover stories. You just lost a bit of credibility.
I am not overly concerned by your perception of my credibility, New Meat.
If you have substantive information pertaining to the casus belli being bogus (to wit, that the Israelis made-up the story about the tunnel), by all means, present it, at your convenience.
I was 17 in 1972. Went to Beirut. Knew even then that Israel was strafing, dropping napalm, clusterbombs, etc. First day I was there, up on the 10th floor of a hotel, we looked out over Beirut and saw .... Israeli planes to the south, flying low, doing damage, killing civilians. Next day in the world press they straight-facedly denied that they had ever vilolated Lebanon's airspace the day before. Malicious propaganda against them, obvious anti-Semitism, etc. The press cooperated and the rest of the world bought it. I had seen the magen david on the wings, and since then I NEVER believe any darned thing I read in the U.S. press on any topic remotely related to the Israel/Palestine issue. I try to use a combination of other sources, and there are plenty of them. To me, anything Israel says is a lie until proven otherwise, because for over 50 years to my very direct and personal knowledge that has been their basic modus operandi. Could provide literally hundreds of examples, nay, THOUSANDS. Meanwhile, let's go see what's on You Tube, shall we?
