If you don’t have a job, not in a real school, over 18, you want to escape the streets, you cant or won't go Army...why can't they be pulled out of trouble all across CHI DET PHI ATL etc and shopped out to work where jobs are? Give them FEMA trailers. Work hi-tech assembly jobs. . Police by NATL guard if need be. Mess up you go back or get 1 yr in lockup.

When I was a kid in high school, my parents only bought me the basics in clothes and supplies for back to school ........and basically anything else, like money for the movies, new outfits for school or work, vacations on Spring break with schoolmates, my first used car when I got to driving age, its insurance etc, had to be paid out of my own pocket...I worked part time throughout the school year beginning at 15, and 40 hours a week every summer...and I LOVED it, because I had my own money, to make my own choices with and learned about working and saving up, to be able to buy something I really wanted or really needed for my own freedom....like a car. Credit cards were unheard of back then or considered unwise by my parents....they didn't even have one, when I was young!

Now in this specific and narrow case, of migrant farm work, I can believe that it is hard to find Americans to do those few jobs.

Regardless, 65k is not worth getting distracted over. THe important thing is that we continue to deport the millions and millions of illegal population.


65k, that come and go, and don't stay and change our demographics forever, is not something worth the bandwidth today.

Ten years from now, when we have deported all the illegals, maybe then it will be worth digging into, whether we should do this program of try to save those jobs for Americans.
