The SCOTUS decided that Kilmar Abrego Garcia has to be returned to the US, where he was in the process of legally becoming a citizen.
He had violated no law, so could not legally be deported since he had successfully applied for asylum.

Two different immigration judges ruled that he was a criminal alien member of MS-13, he was apprehended transporting illegal aliens in a car with another MS-13 member. That alone is grounds to reject his application for both residency and asylum.
