And the federal government wants to run the healthcare industry? Right.

Sounds to me like they want a big bailout to cover their dwindling pensions and retirement funds.

"Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, postal workers have been on the front lines, considered "essential workers" who must continue to do their jobs as usual while others stay home. But some lawmakers are warning that without more support, the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) could completely shut down in the next few months, threatening the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Last week, Representatives Carolyn B. Maloney, the chair of the Committee on Oversight and Reform, and Gerry Connolly, chair of the Subcommittee on Government Operations, said in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that the COVID-19 crisis is threatening the future of mail service in the U.S."

Fedex, UPS, and DHL are competitive on their shipping price, especially with larger or heavier packages. I blame the postal worker's unions for the USPS's problems. The have seven different labor unions..

So in other words, the Democrats are counting on all those absentee ballots to win?

more like how donny admitted that a (R) will never win again if there were an easier access to voting.

What he meant was that a (R) will never win again if there were an easier access to v̵o̵t̵i̵n̵g̵ cheating.

Any conservatives here gonna take the side of the USPS in this discussion?

You probably should.

Here's a primer for you.

And....yes. If we all vote by mail, it would be a boon to the Dems chances of winning elections. Why? Because more people would vote. There are more Democrats in this nation. If everyone votes, Dems win.

So, the GOP understandably wants to curtail vote by mail. A sad, but true, fact.

uh-huh ... is that why the (R) majority leader refuses to take up anything that has to do with election security from either the house or within its own senate?

There in lies the problem. Government and its minions want larger pensions. Larger pensions means they need to make more money to fund those pensions. More money for a Sevice means less use of that service. Means going into the hole farther. We need to let the postal service die. Stop bailing it out.

If those workers walk off the job many of them will never return

meaning they could lose their pension
