I'm from a rough working class city where men started work at the docks and ship builders at 6am and toiled all day for paltry wages while the women worked at home washing clothes by hand and preparing food for the family.

All of these men are likely socialist to some degree, socialism, the "left" grew out of hardship and deprivation the likes of which a molly coddled fat American slob has never seen or experienced, you have never known hardship and so are not a socialist.

Try telling these men that they support effeminacy or sex change surgery, you'd get your face punched.
